I predict the following things in the future for the rediculous Jo-Bros. The one getting married will get divorced & the one going solo won't do as well without his bros. The end.

I've been working pretty much non stop lately and I have to say I'm sick of it. I'm not even making that great of money since I'm being paid a puny minimum wage! Ugh. But as soon as my new boss gets settled at Payless you bet your bottom dollar I'll be hitting her up for a raise seeing as I seem to do everything there. Lately I usually am looking foreward to my one day off from both jobs and that seems to be every two weeks I get one day completely off. Something is wrong with that picture.

On a happy note my boyfriend gave me one of my Christmas presents early!!! He gave me a framed poster of my favorite picture of Marilyn Monroe. It's absolutely amazing and now all I have to do is figure out where in my room I can hang it! I'm excited for my other gift and I have no idea what it could be.

Black Friday.....

Happy Thanksgiving. There I've said it once and I'm done saying all day. Not really but it'd be nice. Anyway I'm already digressing from what I really wanted to write about: Black Friday. There are the same amount of hours in a day, why on black friday do stores deem it necessary to open as early as midnight? Instead of having doorbusters from 4am-11am why can't they be from 7am-2pm?? It makes no sense! And it stresses people out. Retail workers having to open their stores at 3am. It's simply madness. And of course just because the store opens at 3 or 4, that just means you have to get up even earlier to stand in a gigantic line. I hate black friday shopping. I hated it when I was a kid, and I'm sure tomorrow when I'm working I'll hate it even more. Sure the sales are great... but nothing I can't find with a click of my mouse. A lot of stores doing their doorbusters have the same deals online. So why stress myself out when I can set an alarm and go shopping from the comfort of my bedroom. Seriously. I just don't get why the biggest shopping day of the year can't be done in NORMAL SHOPPING HOURS?!?! And of course each year the store opens earlier and earlier. Soon we'll have stores just staying open on Thanksgiving. Oh wait that's already happened! I know of places opening at 6pm today, and I know my boyfriend is on his way to work right now! So all and all, retail sucks. KTHXBAI.

Alright. So I'm going to Texas on Friday. Officially in 3 days. I have never been to Texas, so I don't really know what to expect. Except... I kind of want a tourist shirt that says something stupid like "Everything IS bigger in Texas." Just because... there really isn't a reason for it. Or maybe "I went to Texas and all I got was this lousy tee-shirt."

I guess I'm just being silly. I really need to figure out what I'm buying people for Christmas. I hate Christmas... well scratch that. I love Christmas, but I despise Christmas Music. And it plays on the radio earlier and earlier each year. Like I heard my first Christmas song on the radio TONIGHT on my way home. Some little girl called the radio station and requested "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas." And they actually fucking played it.

Also.. I hate Kristen Stewart. Random I know, but I'm watching E! News and she's doing an interview. And she's a) not pretty and b) always looks like she's stoned and c) can't act worth a damn. All she does is bite her damn lip, and run her hand through her nasty, greasy hair. If that is acting well hot damn, I'm running to Hollywood and trying to become an actress.

So really? I stumbled on this website and I found it to be the most ridiculous. Who needs a Disney Princess engagement ring??!?! Personally, I love most things Disney as much as the next girl... but these rings don't even remind me of anything Disney. Let alone the price tag attached to it, well I mean anything with Disney attached to it usually has a high price on it, but these rings are stupid! And I'm not just ranting about these because the Princess Jasmine was is the most expensive. I feel like these rings are ugly and don't even look very cool.

So then I found the next website to rant about! It just keeps getting better and better. Disney Princess Wedding Dresses. These dresses do not remind me of Disney Princesses. I understand that girls want the "dream" wedding, but lets face facts here, people are getting marriedearlier and earlier and most of the time they don't have a ton of money. Who is going to honestly spend all the money on a stupid looking ring and an unoriginal dress? But obviously SOMEBODY is buying these stupid things because the rings are selling and the designer of the dresses is still making dresses.

This might be the dumbest idea since girls started wearing Uggs & Leggings.

hey cupcake!

Basically I have the best boyfriend in the world. I have a giant blow-up cupcake now sitting on top of the tv in my room. :) I'd like to hang it from the ceiling or something but my room simply too small for something like that. So for now it shall reside upon my television set. haha.

Today I got to sleep in and it was glorious!! I hate waking up to alarms day after day. Ugh. I wanted to go do something fun before work but I'm enjoying my lazy day, plus everyone else seems to be at work. So oh wells. I'm not mega disappointed or anything.

I am also very excited for Halloween!... that's really all I have to write about. :)

So I got my schedule for the next week, and I am working on Friday until about 9:30, but we get to close early on Halloween! I'm so excited! We get to close at about 6pm. :) That's all!!

just a blurb...

You know what I hate? Slow drivers. I think last night I encountered at least four of them on the way to and from Brandon's house. It was ridiculous! Anyway!

My halloween costume is all but complete. My mom is just making some alterations to it, like making sure it actually fits me when I go to wear it. Two/three parties next weekend! I = excited even though I know I'll probably end up working until 9ish each night. Ugh... lame! But whatever.

I'm going to Dallas in like three weeks. Only for a few days but it should be fun! I = <3 flying. I guess I'm out of things to talk about... !

I know you don't believe me....

Hmmm.... so I am addicted to shopping. But I LOVE Plato's Closet. I just purchased a Betsey Johnson dress for $50. Like these dresses are $150+. So I'm in loveeee. I also picked up some more work clothes, and a tee-shirt for the boy. (His was only $5...haha) I also <3 my new bff Whitney.

So work lately has SUCKED. My hours seemed to have gotten cut at Fashion Bug because we hired two new girls... not sure why. And @ Payless I just got made a keyholder... but hold your excitment on that one. I am still getting the same rate of pay as I was before. So now I have wayyy more responsibility for the same type of money. NOT COOL. Aeropostale is having open interviews on Friday, and I might be able to get into working at a Good Will in Flint. So hopefully that can work out. <3

I am such a bad blogger...

I have been shopping WAYYYY too much lately. In the past week I have invested in a pair of Big Star Jeans (don't even ASK the price... I put them away on lay-a-way.), an Ed Hardy Tee (a steal though... found it at Plato's closet!), 2 sweaters from Express, 7 pairs of new underwear from VS (they were having 7 for $25!!), two new sweatshirts from aeropostal (70% off I might add!!), and a really nice green/tealish sweater from Old Navy! I think that's it.... It honestly could have been more but who knows.

Brandon and I went shopping today and I found some AMAZING coats @ The Buckle! J'adore. They weren't even that expensive!! But sadly, I don't NEED a coat. (Not like I needed the other things either ... but I have to pay my car insurance next week.)

I also would like to add that I have been dating the same boy for 7 months now. He is now officially the 2nd longest relationship I've had. He = kinda cool.

I'm waiting now on said amazing boy so we can go to the movies. Sweet deal. <3

Why do I have expensive tastes in clothes/shoes?! It's irritating really. These boots are a must have. Seriously so cool. But $188?!?! Un-freaking-believable!

I seriously love Free People though. I'd give up my first born to have a complete outfit from there. Ughhhh. I hate being poor. :(

I'll be seeing you

So Brandon takes me shopping today... actually we went shopping so HE could get clothes. But then I got distracted and started shopping for me. I'm lucky that he realizes I'm so self-centered, and hasn't cared yet. Lol. :D Anyway! We go into H&M and I found the most amazing jacket ever. And I like need to own this thing... but it's like $50... so grr. But you bet your bottom dollar I'll be asking for it for Christmas... or waiting for it to go on sale and I'm snagging that bad boy up. It also makes me sad that I can't shop for H&M things on H&M.com... what's the point in having a website if I can't buy things off of it?! Curses.

Also... I went car-looking today with my mom. I think I want to get a Chevy Cobalt or Aveo. Also...it looks like I'll be learning how to drive a stick because they're like way cheaper than automatic. Plus hello good gas mileage my name is Kathy! But yes, my mom gave my cell number to the guy who sold her her car and asked if he'd keep an eye out for used Cobalts/Aveos. So hopefully I'll be able to get a good deal on those.

Also yay for updating. I'm off to work today 4:30-Close. We close at 8, but I'm pretty sure I'll get out at like 8:30ish. (I need to stop using the word also...) <3

A month later....

Alright. So I think stumble is the best invention since, well probably since the internet. And I use it every damn day. I always feel very creative when I use it. Usually because I have my settings to DIY, Fashion, Photography, Poetry, etc.... But that's besides the point. I just wanted to rave that I find amazing things that inspire me. (And lets face it... who doesn't like feeling inspired?) But my latest find was I found a mix cd, of the best songs to fuck to. So I downloaded the cd, and I really like it... but I do not think these are the best songs to fuck to. But different strokes for different folks. ;)

Both of my sisters are home at the moment. It's a little weird to think about it, but both of them have made it out of Michigan before me. Grrrr. Oh well. My time will come soon after I save some money and stop working minimum wage jobs. I digress. :) I'm going to go change and possibly do my hair because I stumbled on some sweet tutorials today. Plus I'm going out later... I think. Idk, I kinda need a nap. :) <3

H'okay. Today was filled with shopping galore! I found some amazing finds in Urban Behavior but sadly I didn't end up purchasing anything. I also found some very cool Betsey Johnson bags at Marshalls. They have really stepped up their juniors section! I also found some Miss Me and Guess Denim while I was browsing! I adore shopping, I really wish I had a steady income! But speaking of which I have a job interview tomorrow. It's for Fashion Bug.... yeah not very cool clothing wise but still money is money.

Alright tomorrow should make for an interesting day. I have to get up so I can hang with B and take him to work tomorrow. (Kinda sucks that his car is in the shop, but I felt way bad he didn't have a ride to work so I offered. <3) And then I get to come home and get ready for my interview. I'm going to watch Chelsea Lately and go to bed. <3

The boot debate of '09.

Alright so a few weeks ago I bought the coolest pair of boots from Target EVER. So yesterday I wore said boots with a cute pair of shorts and I got made fun of by my mom and her boyfriend. They seemed to think boots were only for the winter/fall time. But later on when I was with my boyfriend at the movie store this women comes over with her son in tow and goes "I might embarrass you right now... but I love your boots. You look great in them! I can't wear boots because they make my calves look fat." And of course I had to tell her my mom made fun of me. And the lady agreed with me that they were def summer boots. Score one for me!

Also, my older sister, bought me this amazing Harajuku Girl purse the other day. She sent it to me and I about died! Especially since she only payed $6 for it. My purse collection is slowly growing. The recent tally was 1 Kathy Van Zeelend, 2 Betsey Johnson, and 4 Harajuku Girl purses! Plus the other no-named purses I have. :)

Attention Spans

I don't have a very good attention span for blogging. I always say I'm going to update, but then I never have anything to update about. So then I go months without updating and then when I finally DO I have so much to update about I don't know where to start. So maybe I'll start updating regularly... tomorrow. Because right now my mom is swearing like a sailor (wonder where I get it from) because something is wrong with the pipes in her bathroom and there is water flooding everywhere.

No use in learning how (if you won't use it)

I had an interview this previous Tuesday for basically a manager position at the Icing in our mall. Sadly I think I will have to pass on the job (if I even get it...) because I'll only be here for like three months. And it was only for like 7-12 hours a week. Which, let's face it, is not enough hours for me. My interview today is at Target. Hopefully I can get 20-25 hours and can happily transfer stores when I move. My interview was scheduled at 2:30, but my interviewer called me at 8:30 this morning and asked if she could change it. I was a little mad that I got woken up, but oh well such is life right?

So everyone is done with school and it's summer time! I love summer. It looks really nice outside right now, and even though it's only 9ish it says it's already 50 degrees out! Woo! Man I'm excited for nice weather.

I work 10-4 tomorrow and then Brandon is coming up. :) Not sure what my Plato's schedule looks like for next week.

I'm turning 20 soon. Not sure how I feel about that. My last birthday was such a disaster. So I'm hoping this one goes by quickly and smoothly! I am heading to Fenton for Easter weekend. And then I'll be back in town the same week for the Shiny Toy Guns/All American Rejects concert with B. I'm really looking forward to it.

So after my lease is up in Allendale I'm moving back in with my mother to save money/pay off my loan. I hope to have it all payed off by December but we'll see how it goes. I also hope to be moved out again before I'm 21 but that might be a long shot.

I spent almost $70 today. I got my ear pierced, bought season 1 of Will & Grace, A Knights Tale, Superman Returns and some episodes of Sailor Moon. I also bought some food and went to the movies with my roommates. We saw 'He's Just Not That Into You.' It was pretty funny.

Alright I'm off to bed soon. I'm watching some Sailor Moon and then tomorrow I have to work 12-6. After that B is coming up for the night. I haven't seen him in about two weeks so I'm pretty pumped to finally spend some time with him. :)

PS. My neighbors are out parting right now and being so drunkenly loud. Sometimes I really hate living in a college town.

I've been way busy lately. It's officially Spring Break for Grand Valley Students. Anthony and I seemed to be the only people on campus. Until Sunday night someone broke into his apartment and stole his flat screen television and his roommates Wii. So needless to say I've been a bit creeped out staying on campus. I'm now on the East side of the state, staying at my moms. By the time I get home my roommates will all be there so at least I'll have that.

I've been working a lot. That and hanging out with my boy. :)


I've also been working on birthday lists to give to my parents. I seriously hate how I have to make 2 lists for a handful of gifts. Oh well. I'm turning 20 and can't come up with anything I really WANT. A handful of books, dvds... I asked for a really pretty claddagh ring with my birthstone in it, but I'm not sure I'll get it. Meh.

So here is what has been going on in the world of me. My hours got cut at work which upsets me greatly. I'm looking for a 2nd job where I can make some mad cash quick. Shopping addictions are bad. I have been looking into getting a credit card so I can build some credit. Maybe a gas credit card so I can't spend it on frivolous things. I want a new car so bad. My dad told me that Cobalts have been going on sale with no interest tacked on. Which would be bad ass. But I think I need to pay off my loans first. I hate money. Seriously!

Pretty sure I'm moving to Rochester Hills in August. Check it out.

I think I'm off to make some lunch. Emily and I plan on watching the America's Next Top Model Marathon when she gets home from work in a little while. ^_^ <3>

This has been something on my mind lately.... Charlotte Russe. I'm really mad because lately I've found some great finds from Charlotte Russe at work. But when I go to the store I can never find something that I want to wear. It is infuriating because I go to the store with the intent on spending money and the store is a) a mess or b) nothing cute catches my eye. Even on the website I have trouble finding decent items. Maybe it's the current trends? Who knows.

Another thing bothering me is my generation. Why are we reverting back to the old days and all getting hitched before we've really lived our lives?! What really irritates me is that girls are willing to marry these complete assholes. My one friend just got married to a guy she started dating over the summer. And while she dated him this summer she complained that he was cheating on her, and all he did was go out everynight and party. And yet, six months later they're married and are expecting in April. I'd like to say it was just a wedding because she got knocked up, but I don't think that's the full story. There are so many 19 year olds getting married, or even engaged. I just feel like to settle down when you've barely seen life is, well it's stupid. Almost as stupid as wearing leggings and a shirt. And I don't think I need to tell anyone how I feel about that.

Oh well. I digress. I'm off to go watch Smallville on the tivo. Thank god for Tivo. I really don't know what I'd do without it.

I've been doing a lot of online shopping lately. I found a copy of The Tudors (season 1) on half.com the other day and immediately added it to my growing collection of seasons. I'm very excited for it to come in the mail, and can't wait to watch it. :) I finished Gossip Girl Season 1 over break. It was fantastic! I can't wait to start downloading the current episodes of season 2. I'm addicted! It's a great show.

My mom mailed me my last christmas present. Needless to say I have pictures of my new jewelry. (I stumbled across the website, if I had the link I'd post it.)

Tomorrow I work 10-4. Then my friend is throwing his girlfriend a surprise party (...how freaking adorable!) at our apartment. So I'm going to super clean the kitchen and the living room. Possibly set up Princess (my hookah).
